Top 10 Romance Anime You Must Watch
I personally like romance animes a lot😍
Romance is one of the most popular genres in anime, but with so many options to choose from and so little time to watch them all, it can be difficult to decide which ones are worth your time. So here's a list of my personal favorites:
1. Clannad: After Story
Clannad: After Story is a continuation of the first season of Clannad, which was one of the most popular anime series ever made. The story follows a high school girl named Tomoya Okazaki who is moving back to his hometown after graduating from college and getting a job at his father's company. When he arrives, he finds out that his childhood friend Nagisa Furukawa has been murdered by her own father, who blames her for causing him so much trouble in their relationship when they were young. When Tomoya tries to help Nagisa's grieving mother find comfort in her grief, she also becomes romantically involved with him...
2. Toradora!
Toradora! is based on the visual novel of the same name. In this series, it follows the story of Ryuuji Takasu and Taiga Aisaka, who are childhood friends and class representatives at their high school. The two fall in love with each other but cannot confess due to lack of trust between them.
The anime has 24 episodes (plus 2 OVAs) and was produced by Silver Link. Its first season aired from October 6th 2006 through March 26th 2007; its second ran from April 5th 2007 through May 22nd 2008; a third season ran from July 7th 2009 through September 30th 2010; an extended special aired on December 28th 2009; then finally another extended special aired on May 23rd 2010 as part of event programming during summer break period within Shounen Jump lineups at TBS Japan Channel.[1]
3. Golden Time
If you're looking for a romance anime with a lot of comedy, Golden Time is the one for you. It's about a college student who falls in love with his childhood friend and struggles to win her over. It’s also a harem anime, so it has lots of romance but also comedy as well. The story itself is good enough that I would recommend this one if you want something different from the typical “boy meets girl” plot line common in most other anime shows out there today (or at least since I was young).
4. Angel Beats!
Angel Beats! is about a group of students who have died and are now stuck in purgatory. The story is told through flashbacks and the present day, with the main character, Otonashi, a student who has died and has no memories of his past. He meets several other students who are also dead but have no idea why they're there either. In order to understand their situation better, he decides to follow one person from his class: Yuri Pigo (Yurippe), an enigmatic girl with mysterious powers that allow her to see into other people's minds as well as into their shared memories—a power she uses often against those around her with whom she doesn't get along well; this includes many members within both teams led by Kanade Tachibana (Kanade Toujou) and Fuko Komori (Komori).
5. Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend
Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend is a Japanese light novel series written by Fumiaki Maruto and illustrated by Kurehito Misaki. The story follows an otaku who becomes the assistant of his sister's new boyfriend, who happens to be the president of their fan club.
6. True Tears
True Tears is a 2008 anime series created by P.A. Works and directed by Masayuki Yoshihara. The story revolves around the life of high school student Shinichirō Nakagawa, who struggles with his past after being falsely accused of murdering his father during childhood.
The series has been licensed in North America by FUNimation Entertainment as part of their "Anime Legends" line; however, it was never released there until 2016 when they began streaming subtitled episodes on Hulu Plus beginning with Episode 1: "Don't Cry".
7. Say "I Love You"
Say "I Love You" is a romance anime that puts you in the shoes of a girl who falls in love with a guy who is in love with someone else. It's heartwarming story, full of drama and has a great soundtrack. The animation is beautiful too!
8. White Album 2
White Album 2 is a story about a group of friends in high school. The story focuses on the main character, Haruki Kitahara, and his band "White Album." The anime is set in the 1990s.
This anime follows Haruki as he tries to find his place in this world while dealing with personal problems at home and making decisions about his future.
9. AnoHana - The Flower We Saw That Day
AnoHana - The Flower We Saw That Day is a 2011 anime series based on the novel of the same name. The series was directed by Tatsuyuki Nagai and produced by A-1 Pictures. The story follows Kaori Miyazono, a girl who returns to her home town for her younger sister's funeral only to discover that it has become an enclosed town surrounded by walls and guarded by police officers. As she tries to figure out what happened, she meets two other students who are also trapped inside this small town: Chihiro Oginome and Arata Katsura. They soon form a bond with one another while learning more about each other's lives before meeting at such an odd place as "Flower Hill" where all these events took place back when they were children!
The story itself is unique since it focuses more on character development rather than action sequences; however there still some elements like fighting scenes where you'll see some awesome moves made possible thanks including special effects used during filming process which makes things look even better than ever before!
10. ReLIFE
ReLIFE is a story about a 27 year old guy who is given a chance to relive his high school life. He must make changes to his life, or else he will be sent back to prison. The anime is available on Netflix and can be streamed in both English and Japanese.
